I'm trying to get a user set up with an Office 365 E1 license and Outlook for Windows, but am running into issues. The first problem is getting the actual Outlook client software. The second is getting Outlook to accept the E1 license. Using a Mac I downloaded the standalone Outlook for Mac client and tried using it with an E1 license, but no luck.

In the MAC, I believe the choice is right there in the File menu so save a copy or save a backup copy for windows. How to create a portable company file in quickbooks for mac.

I'm unable to find a standalone downloadable Outlook for Windows. According to I should be able to use Outlook for Windows with an E1 mailbox. Quote: 'Use business-class email through a rich and familiar Outlook experience you can access from your desktop or from a web browser.' I am aware that does not list Outlook in the Office applications section, which I find odd given the assertion about being able to use Outlook 'from your desktop', since I'm unable to find out how to download the client separately. Has anyone else been able to use Outlook for Windows with an E1 license?

In my previous blog post I briefly discussed some of the features available in Office 365. In this post I want to discuss the current Office 365 license plans available. A lot is changing at Microsoft (see our previous blog posts here and here) so this is all subject to change. The basic version of Office 365 for nonprofits is the Enterprise E1 plan.

If so, how did you do it? Did you purchase Outlook separately or is there a legal workaround of sorts, e.g. Truck simulator 2018 for mac Install E3 then downgrade to E1 to get the client software installed? Thanks, -Kaare.

Its annoying isn't it. I had this issue years ago when we rebuilt one of our customers file servers and then suddenly every word document that had ever been made from a template took about 3 or 4 minutes to open.

So I wrote this program that loops through all Word files in a specified directory and removes the reference to the template, then they all worked fine:) I'm not too familiar with Sharepoint but if you can access the files as you would do a normal directory then you can use my app to fix them (as far as I could see removing the reference to the template used to create the document made absolutely no difference to the documents and the users never complained). You can download my app here Just bear in mind I did write it years ago so its not the best designed program in the world. Hope it helps you out though:). Not sure about 'badly implemented' we wouldn't know for sure if its bad or not until the logic (if there is any) is explained to us as to WHY it was done that way.

One folder here is used for Folder Redirection and the other folder is used for Roaming Profiles. Which one is which is anyone's guess although I would wager the PROFILES$ share is Roaming Profiles. You can tell by checking the user in Active Directory and looking at the Profile tab as thats where Roaming Profiles are configured. Redirected Folders can be done via GP or from the machine itself so we won't know how it was implemented until you go looking.

An Office365 E1 licence does NOT include a licence for the desktop Outlook client. You need to either use an existing licence for Microsoft Office which includes Outlook, or just use the OWA interface. For the majority of people, you could stick a shortcut to OWA on their taskbar and tell them it's Outlook, and it wouldn't make any difference.
